Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Readers of A Christmas Carol will be aware that the book is not simply about Christmas but is a tale of redemption found in human fellowship and kindness. Films focus on Scrooge being a loveable villain who is capable of change and does so by the end of the story. The true story is darker. Scrooge is led by the spirits before confronting the terror of his future. The illustrations chosen for this copy of A Christmas Carol reflect the darkness within it, the tenuous nature of our goodness, and the redemption we must find for ourselves by the end of the night. This is the original text from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens with new illustrations and a full foreword dedicated to the darkly spiritual themes of the book. This is the Large Print edition of the book.
