The Story of Rachel

von Willow Creek Press

Taschenbuch, ab 18 Jahre

Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Three women tell the same story from their own perspective. One day, while feeding ducks in the park, Mary Pat has her bag of bread crumbs stolen by Rachel, a street girl. The scene is witnessed by Jean. Their descriptions of what happened are interwoven throughout, showing how the three women view Rachel's poverty-and theft-in totally different ways. Rachel sees it as her only way to survive; Mary Pat, though Rachel's target, sees past her offense and tries to reach out to help her-first, practically, and then in personal ways; and Jean watches all this, and thinks it foolishness for anyone to reach out to a street urchin.Topics: CARE FOR THE POOR, FORGIVING OTHERSCharacters: 3 FEMALESParticipants: 3Author: Donna Lagerquist
