Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Meet Malala Yousafzai!Fact-filled Rookie Read-About Biographies introduce the youngest readers to influential women and men, both past and present. Colorful photos and age appropriate text encourage children to read on their own-as they learn about people like Serena Williams, Neil Armstrong, Rosa Parks, Anne Frank and many more. When she was growing up in Pakistan, girls were not allowed to go to school. Malala refused to stay home! She spoke out for education-and was almost killed for standing up for her beliefs. To this day, Malala continues to work to ensure that every girl around the world has the chance to go to school.
