Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A bewildered amnesiac revisits the scene of his own murder - or is it someone else's? A man haunted by the memory of a mistreated classmate embroils himself in small-town persecution. Another finds that the distance between life and death is both shorter than a car ride and greater than the infinite void. A tragic accident at a county fair sets off a chain reaction of violence. A paranoid artist discovers he may only be a figure in someone else's nightmarish landscape. A guilt-ridden woman offers illicit comforts to damaged minds and bodies. A son inherits the disused property - and lethal madness - of the father he barely remembers. All these stories exist first in the landscape of the mind, alien yet familiar, hazy and dreamlike but with a logic of their own. Past is present, dread is desire, and the person most feared may be oneself.
