Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Contemplating a career in a public school setting? Be advised that a college education will prepare you to create brilliant lesson plans, but not for the reality of the day-to-day interaction among students, teachers and administrators. Teachers deal with more than "reading, writing, and arithmetic," they must focus on working with the "person" who is the student. Are your children headed to high school? No matter what you think you know, reality is often another matter. Shielding a child from real life is an impossibility, however parents will benefit from comprehending what young people face at school. All of the experiences related in this book are true and sometimes blunt and shocking. As a parent or an educator, similar situations may come your way. With the aid of this book, you will be better prepared to anticipate and meet these challenges with a sense of accomplishment and humor.
