Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Every small town has its secrets, and Far Haven is no exception.Swaying gently, cocooned in the cold, murky depths of Eagle Lake, is the body of Belinda Graham. The Northeastern village of Far Haven is full of bizarre speculation regarding Belinda's disappearance forty years ago, and many of the town's residents are still wondering: What happened to her anyway? Carter DeWitt, the owner of the town newspaper, is helping Everett Graham, former high school principal and owner of the local café, patch together the pieces of his wife's unsolved disappearance. With his motley crew of friends, including John Warren, who has returned to Far Haven after a long career in law enforcement, Carter explores the town, rekindles an old relationship, and captures all the local gossip in print. As the story of Belinda's disappearance unfolds, the paths of these former schoolmates collide with that of former resident Martha Harrow, who is supposed to be locked away in a nearby prison for two murders that she no doubt committed. This will be one reunion that the town's residents won't soon forget. In riveting and humorous prose, Eric Washburn invites you into the town of Far Haven to share in four decades of secrets, intimacies, and lies.
