Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Weeks after deciding to walk the 175-kilometre Cleveland Way in the UK, Vicki's world took a chaotic backflip by a phone call nobody wants ... she had breast cancer.Facing surgery and months of chemotherapy, she remained determined to start the much-anticipated trek with the love of her life, Olaf. And just six weeks after finishing treatment they set off across the North York Moors, unsure if the task ahead was far too ambitious both physically and emotionally. As the duo traverse the Yorkshire countryside, Vicki reflects on her cancer experience and shares her fears, challenges and insights with candid honesty and humour. But would fatigue, blisters, precarious toenails, and a blinding desire to live a 'normal' life again prove insurmountable obstacles to crossing the finish line?A story of determination and love, the healing capacity of nature, and the power of having a purpose sometimes in life's darkest moments.
