Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

He wakes in a locked room with no memory, no name, and no idea who is watching.Jon Fenix is sixteen years old. He knows that the way he knows his own hands - but he does not know his own face, his parents, or the town he grew up in. All he has is a nightmare he has been having since he was eleven: a ruined city under a red sky, and ash falling like snow. The man on the intercom says there was an attack. He says Jon is one of the only survivors. He says the tests are for Jon's own good.Almost none of that is true.Locked in a converted farmhouse with three other teenagers - a girl who can remember anything she sees, a fourteen-year-old who fights like he was built for it, and an eighteen-year-old who tells them the truth about everything except himself - Jon begins working out what is actually being done to them. And what it has to do with a code he cracked, two hundred and eleven days of his life he cannot account for, and a weapon he may have designed himself. The thing that can save them is a sword made of ash and memory.Every time he uses it, he loses a piece of who he is.Den of Ashes is the first book in the Jon Fenix series - a young adult thriller about captivity, manipulation, and the one defence against having your mind taken apart: other people who remember you.
