Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The purpose of this book is to help the beginning flat-picker learn the essential elements and styles to become a better Bluegrass and Old-time guitar player. This book will also help take you from the beginner status to more of an intermediate player. I have adapted the playing styles of Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Russ Barenberg, and The Carter Family in the arrangements throughout the book. This book comes with over 50 pages of music and instruction along with over 2 hours of practice tracks!(Check out the Table of Contents page to see how to DOWNLOAD the practice tracks from my website) Included are guitar tabs, right and left hand movement, and licks from your favorite players. This book will give you insight on what it takes to advance your flat-picking skills. The preface goes in depth about the techniques necessary to mastering the art of flat-picking. So, if you're just getting into more advanced playing- I have picked out some select examples so you can focus on the finer details of alternate picking and using hammer-ons and pull-offs. Here is a list of the tunes included Amazing Grace - Angeline the Baker - Arkansas Traveler - Bill Cheatham - Billy in the Lowground - Blackberry Blossom - Cherokee Shuffle - Cripple Creek - Forked Deer - Kentucky Waltz - Little Annie - Ol' Joe Clark - Red-Haired Boy - Red Wing - Roll in my Sweet Baby's Arms - Saint Anne's Reel - Sally Goodin' - Salt Creek - Solider's Joy - Sweet Georgia Brown - Turkey in the Straw - Whiskey Before Breakfast - Wildwood Flower - Will the Circle be Unbroken - You are My Sunshine
