Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

For centuries, people have debated about the purpose of megalithic monuments like Stonehenge. This book explains how people in the British Isles, four thousand or more years ago, identified life and death with the cycle of midwinter and midsummer and the risings and settings of the sun and moon.Ideal for readers of archaeology, ancient history, and cultural astronomy, this volume offers a vivid introduction to prehistoric ritual landscapes and the celestial knowledge embedded within them.
