Justin Cronin, geboren 1962, wuchs in New England auf und studierte in Harvard. Cronin ist Bestseller-Autor der international bekannten Passage-Trilogie ("Der Übergang", "Die Zwölf" und "Die Spiegelstadt"). Der erste Teil war drei Monate lang auf der New York Times Bestsellerliste zu finden und wurde in über 40 Ländern verkauft. 2019 wurde die Fernsehadaption der Passage-Trilogie das erste Mal auf FOX ausgestrahlt. Zu seinen weiteren Werken zählen auch die beiden bisher noch nicht ins Deutsche übersetzten Romane "Mary and O'Neil", welcher mit dem Hemingway Foundation PEN Award ausgezeichnet wurde, sowie "The Summer Guest". Justin Cronin lehrt Englische Literatur an der Rice University und lebt mit seiner Frau und seinen Kindern in Houston, Texas.
