Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Unlike traditional Protestant theology that viewed the natural world in ambiguous and, at times, hostile ways, Paul Tillich's theology developed a complex relationship between God, man, and nature. According to Drummy, it is Protestant theology's unsympathetic view of nature that is responsible for the environmental problems of today. Through a comprehensive study of Tillich's theology and Protestant theology, Being and Earth recommends the application of Tillich's theology, which envisions a harmonious relationship with nature, as an "environmental ethic."
