Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

In Depth Psychology and a New Ethic, Erich Neumann offers an exploration of the human psyche and the ethical challenges confronting modern society. Drawing on depth psychology, Neumann critiques the traditional dualistic morality that elevates the “good” and suppresses the “bad,” leading to a dangerous fragmentation of the self and harmful collective behaviors. He advocates for a transformative “new ethic” that embraces the inherent duality within each individual and society, integrating both light and dark aspects of the human psyche to foster a higher level of consciousness and compassion.Readers will gain invaluable insight into the psychological effects of repression and suppression, the role of conscience, and the formation of the “facade personality.” Neumann’s analysis highlights the urgent need for a new ethical framework that not only addresses the complexities of the human condition but also encourages the integration of the shadow side of our nature. This book is essential for anyone seeking to understand the deeper layers of human behavior and the transformative power of embracing the totality of our being.Depth Psychology and a New Ethic is a must-read for those committed to the psychological and spiritual evolution of humankind. Neumann’s vision challenges readers to confront the complexities of the human condition and embrace the transformative power of integrating all aspects of the self. This groundbreaking work compels us to rethink our ethical frameworks, making it an indispensable guide for both individual and collective growth.
