In the Fall of 2009 Ouyang Jianghe and his translator Austin Woerner were the first author/translator pair to take part in the Vermont Studio Center's (VSC) expanded Literature in Translation studio fellowship program. This program was instituted by funding from the Jintian Literary Foundation and Zephyr Press. Besides working together on the translations for two weeks at VSC, Ouyang and Austin gave a reading and lecture and recorded a video of one of the poems which is available at:http://foundersblog.vermontstudiocenter.org/page/2/Ouyang will continue to stay involved with the VSC Fellowships through his post as one of the senior editors of the magazine Jintian (Today), which is based in Beijing. Author will be bi-locating between Beijing and New York City over the next few years. Events will be scheduled at Columbia University, the Asian American Writers Workshop, the St. Mark's Poetry Project, and beyond the city at Yale and Harvard
