Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Baltimore, MD- Abecedarian Books, Inc. is pleased to announce the publication of A Fighter All My Life, a memoir, by Sam Johnson, a union organizer and professed militant. Compiled from tapes made over a ten-year period and lovingly transcribed, A Fighter All My Life tells the unvarnished tale of the personal evolution and rise from poverty to purpose of Sam Johnson. Told in his own words, it vibrates with an authenticity that grips the reader with spellbinding authority. As Judith Carpenter, who edited the transcripts, says in her introduction, This is truly Sam s book, an account of an extraordinary life, a militant life, during the years of a very extraordinary period in American history. It is a story that wends its way from the streets of Alabama to the fast life of Los Angeles to the Chrysler plant in Detroit. It is a story of transformation as the author evolves from a careless young man to a socially conscious and caring adult.
