Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

This book depicts a journey through Corporate America and a number of scandals that destroyed wealth, brought down larger-than-life personalities and gravely damaged major corporations. While the author examines elements of the acts that ensnared some firms in accounting scandals, it is moreover an examination of Corporate Culture. The environment created by founders, owners, and managers is fundamental to the values and mores the enterprise expresses to its customers and employees. Every enterprise has an organizing principle. The successful ones also have a set of values that govern its conduct. In society and business today we see many examples of the breakdown of our culture and values. Sometimes this can be for money, fame, personal gratification, power or other reasons. We should seek to be better. This book describes steps we can take to deliver better work environments and more grounded organizations. Successful organizations depend on a culture that makes work rewarding, productive, and profitable and, yes, fun.
