Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Built on the premise that relationships are the most difficult of human endeavors, Promise portrays the ultimate price paid for emotional dishonesty. Lyrical and poignant, the story revolves around Dave Tackett, a seemingly placid teacher living in a small Midwestern town and haunted by past events he can't reveal. Legal actions over a fellow teacher's questionable morals awaken painful memories and trigger a searing flashback that, in turn, brings Tackett to a shocking realization of the consequences of his ethical choices. At times blunt and graphic, this accessible novel compels the reader to its disturbing and unexpected conclusion.
