Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

This book is a little-known satirical work from 16th-century Spain, written by Fernando de Rojas, the author of the famous novel La Celestina. The book is a parody of the genre of didactic literature and purports to be a handbook for pimps and prostitutes, teaching them the art of seduction and deception. The text is full of puns, wordplay, and obscene jokes, and provides a fascinating window into the moral and social attitudes of the Renaissance era. This book will appeal to lovers of satire and those interested in the history of sexuality and gender. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.This work is in the "public domain in the United States of America, and possibly other nations.
