Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"The Morality of Nature" explores the profound and complex relationship between biological evolution and the development of human ethical systems. Robert Williams Gibson delves into the concept that morality is not an abstract or divinely ordained construct, but rather a natural byproduct of the evolutionary process. The work argues that human conduct and social structures are deeply rooted in the same fundamental laws that govern the natural world.By examining the instincts and behaviors observed across various species, Gibson traces the lineage of human conscience and the principles of right and wrong back to their biological origins. This insightful treatise bridges the gap between science and philosophy, offering a compelling perspective on how the struggle for existence and the necessity of cooperation have shaped the moral landscape of humanity. "The Morality of Nature" serves as a significant contribution to the study of evolutionary ethics, providing readers with a foundational understanding of how nature itself provides a framework for human values, social responsibility, and the progress of civilization. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
