Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"Collected Poems" captures the ethereal and visionary spirit of George William Russell, who wrote under the pseudonym A.E. As a central figure in the Irish Literary Revival and a contemporary of W.B. Yeats, A.E. offers a unique blend of spiritual mysticism and a profound appreciation for the Irish landscape. This collection represents a comprehensive journey through his poetic career, showcasing his deep engagement with theosophy, ancient Celtic mythology, and the eternal search for inner light. The poems contained within range from delicate, melodic observations of the natural world to grand, cosmic meditations on the journey of the soul. A.E.'s work is characterized by its luminous imagery and a rhythmic quality that reflects his belief in the unity of all things and the presence of the divine within the mundane. Readers are invited into a world where the veil between the physical and the transcendental is thin, guided by a writer who was both a dedicated mystic and a masterful lyricist.A cornerstone of early 20th-century literature, "Collected Poems" is an essential volume for those interested in the development of modern Irish poetry, the history of mystical literature, and the enduring power of the visionary imagination. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
