"Documenta Ecclesiastica" is a significant collection of official ecclesiastical documents pertaining to the study and interpretation of the Holy Scriptures. Often identified with the authoritative "Enchiridion Biblicum", this work compiles a wide array of papal encyclicals, decrees from the Roman Pontiffs, and formal pronouncements from various Church councils and the Pontifical Biblical Commission. The volume serves as a foundational resource for understanding the historical and theological development of Catholic biblical scholarship. It outlines the authoritative guidelines provided by the Church for the preservation, translation, and critical study of sacred texts throughout the centuries. By bringing together these diverse documents, "Documenta Ecclesiastica" provides clear insight into how the Church has navigated the complexities of biblical revelation and its transmission to the faithful.
