Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

In Speaking Power to Truth, Colleen Saunders delves into the dynamic relationship between prayer, social justice, and faith. With a lifetime of devotion to prayer and Scripture, Colleen provides profound insights into how spirituality empowers activism. As an educator and community organizer, Colleen's experiences have reinforced her belief in the essential fusion of prayer, social action, Word, Spirit, and justice. Through her thoughtful reflections rooted in Scripture and her encounters with marginalised communities, she reveals a path where prayer connects us with God's presence. Here, our prophetic voices gain strength to expose injustices and advocate for the oppressed. In a world marked by social, economic, and spiritual challenges, young Christian activists often ask, "How can I reconcile my anger with my faith?" or "Is prayer enough when there's so much work to be done?" Colleen provides answers by affirming a God of justice, mercy, love, and righteous anger.Speaking Power to Truth invites readers to explore prayer's transformative potential and its role in partnering with God to bring His kingdom to Earth. This collaboration, infused with the power of the Holy Spirit, empowers us to speak truth to power and infuse power into that truth as we journey into the profound realms of prayer and social justice, inspiring us to create positive change.
