Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

When her husband of forty-five years passed away, author Ethel McKellar was beyond grief. She'd lost the love of her life, her soul mate. While her husband's health had been declining for some time, the loss was no less sudden, no less devasting. Her friends and family were supportive and understanding, but Ethel missed having a companion, someone who knew her unlike any other. She felt empty, like a piece of her was missing. But she found joy in the unlikeliest of places: Words with Friends, a multiplayer word game where she could play-and chat-with people all over the world. People like Tom. As Ethel and Tom's friendship grows, Ethel finds herself falling for a man she's never met. They chat daily, moving their conversations from the game to text. Tom is understanding, compassionate, and supportive. A true friend. But when Tom takes advantage of her, Ethel begins to question if their relationship is real, if Tom is even real. After all, how can you really know someone you've never met?Indiana Calling Alberta is the account of one widow's grief and her courage to reclaim her happiness, on her own terms. Honest and heartfelt, this memoir shows how we never know what life has in store for us, but we must make the most of it.
