Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Some books tell stories. Others reveal where ideas begin.Every great discovery begins with a question. But what if the path to the ideas that changed our understanding of the world could be not merely studied, but experienced? When five children unexpectedly cross the boundaries of time, they discover that history is far more than a sequence of dates and events. Hidden across centuries lies the Book of Forms - an ancient source of knowledge whose scattered fragments hold the key not only to understanding the world, but to discovering how knowledge itself is born.To return home, they must recover its scattered fragments, hidden across different places and eras of history.Their extraordinary journey brings them face to face with some of history's greatest thinkers. They walk beside Thales as he measures what once seemed impossible, learn from Pythagoras that numbers can reveal harmony, watch Eratosthenes measure the Earth, explore Euclid's geometry, witness Archimedes' brilliance, and meet Hypatia as she struggles to preserve knowledge against those determined to destroy it.Every historical figure, scientific idea, and mathematical discovery presented in this novel is grounded in authentic historical research. While the adventure is fictional, the people, discoveries, and scientific concepts are real.Voices of the Past. Origins is more than a historical adventure. It is an invitation to see mathematics, science, and history not as subjects to study, but as one of humanity's greatest stories - one that continues to inspire us today.Perfect for readers aged 10 and up, families, educators, librarians, and anyone fascinated by the history of science, mathematics, and human discovery.
