Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Aristotle's Poetics is a classic work of literary criticism that has been studied for centuries. In this edition, editor Mitchell Carroll presents the text of Aristotle's Poetics alongside the Homeric Scholia, a collection of ancient commentaries on Homer's epics. By examining the two texts together, Carroll sheds new light on Aristotle's theories of drama and poetry, and provides insights into the ways in which ancient Greek literature was understood and analyzed. This edition is a valuable resource for scholars of ancient Greek literature and literary theory, as well as anyone interested in the history of literary criticism. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
