Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Civil War Experiences Of Sarah J. Yeater (1910) is a memoir written by Sarah Janette Ellis Yeater about her experiences during the American Civil War. The book is a first-hand account of the war from the perspective of a woman who lived through it. Yeater was born in 1844 and grew up in Missouri. When the Civil War broke out, she was living in Illinois with her husband and children. Her husband joined the Union Army, and Yeater decided to follow him to the front lines. She served as a nurse and a cook for the soldiers, and she witnessed some of the most horrific battles of the war, including the Battle of Shiloh and the Battle of Vicksburg. Yeater's memoir is a vivid and detailed account of her experiences during the war, including her interactions with soldiers, her observations of the war's impact on civilians, and her own struggles to survive in a war-torn country. The book provides a unique perspective on the Civil War and is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of this period. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
