Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""An Examination of the Charge of Apostasy Against Wordsworth"" is a book written by William Hale White and originally published in 1898. The book is a critical analysis of the accusation that poet William Wordsworth had abandoned his radical political views and become a conservative in his later years. White, who was also a poet and critic, argues that Wordsworth's poetry and political beliefs were consistent throughout his life and that he did not betray his principles. The book is divided into chapters that explore different aspects of Wordsworth's life and work, including his relationship with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, his views on nature and religion, and his involvement in political movements such as the French Revolution. White draws on a range of sources, including Wordsworth's own writings and the opinions of his contemporaries, to make his case. The book is considered a valuable contribution to the study of Wordsworth's life and work, as well as to the broader field of literary criticism. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
