Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Menander's Georgos is a book that presents a revised text of the Geneva Fragment of Menander's play. Menander was a Greek playwright who lived in the 4th century BC and was known for his comedies. The Geneva Fragment is a small piece of Menander's play Georgos, which was discovered in Egypt in the late 19th century. The book is written by Bernard Pyne Grenfell, a British papyrologist who was one of the discoverers of the fragment. Grenfell's revised text is based on a careful analysis of the fragment and takes into account the latest scholarship on Menander's works. The book also includes an introduction that provides background information on Menander and his plays, as well as a discussion of the significance of the Geneva Fragment. This book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in ancient Greek literature, particularly the works of Menander. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
