Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Homer In A Nutshell: Or The Iliad Of Homer In Immortal Doggrel (1715) is a satirical and humorous retelling of Homer's epic poem, The Iliad, written by Ninnyhammer, Nickydemus. The book is written in a style of poetry called doggerel, which is characterized by its irregular meter and rhyme scheme. The author uses this style to poke fun at the original work and its characters, including Achilles, Agamemnon, and Hector. The book is structured as a series of short chapters, each summarizing a different part of The Iliad in a humorous way. The language and humor are playful and light-hearted, making it an enjoyable read for those who are familiar with the original work or those who are just looking for a fun and entertaining book. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
