Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""The Bishop's English"" is a book written by George Washington Moon and published in 1903. The book is a series of criticisms on Bishop Thornton's laudation of the Revised Version of the Scriptures, as well as on the English used by the revisers. Moon's critique focuses on the language used in the Revised Version of the Bible, which was published in 1885, and the changes made by the revisers. Moon argues that the changes made to the language of the Bible were unnecessary and often made the text more difficult to understand. He also criticizes the revisers for their use of archaic language and their failure to consider the needs of modern readers. Overall, ""The Bishop's English"" is a detailed and thought-provoking analysis of the language used in the Revised Version of the Bible and the decisions made by the revisers. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
