Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""The Other Side of the Story: Being Some Reviews Criticizing the Story of the Upper Canadian Rebellion"" is a historical book written by John King and originally published in 1886. The book provides an alternative perspective on the Upper Canadian Rebellion, which took place in 1837-1838 and was a failed attempt by rebels to overthrow the British colonial government in Upper Canada.King's book is a collection of reviews and critiques of other historical accounts of the rebellion, which he argues are biased and incomplete. He focuses on the actions and motivations of the rebels, as well as the role of the government and military in suppressing the rebellion. King also examines the social and economic conditions that led to the rebellion, including the grievances of farmers and the influence of American republicanism.Overall, ""The Other Side of the Story"" challenges traditional narratives of the Upper Canadian Rebellion and offers a more nuanced and critical perspective on this important moment in Canadian history. Also The Letters In The Mackenzie-Rolph Controversy, And A Critique On The New Story. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
