Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Pentateuch and Writings of Moses Defended Against the Attacks of Dr. Colenso (1863) is a book written by James Hargrave Mann. This book is a defense of the Pentateuch and other writings of Moses against the criticism of Dr. Colenso. Dr. Colenso was a bishop in South Africa who had written a book questioning the accuracy of the Pentateuch and other writings of Moses. Mann, a theologian and scholar, responds to Colenso's criticisms and defends the historical accuracy and divine inspiration of these texts. The book is divided into chapters that address specific criticisms made by Colenso, such as the chronology of the Pentateuch and the accuracy of the genealogies. Mann uses historical and literary analysis to argue for the reliability of the Pentateuch and other writings of Moses. The book is written in a scholarly style and is intended for readers with a background in theology and biblical studies. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
