Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Voluntary System is a book written by Samuel Roffey Maitland in 1837. The book discusses the concept of voluntaryism, which is the idea that government services should be provided voluntarily by individuals and organizations rather than through taxation and government intervention. Maitland argues that the voluntary system is more efficient and effective than government-run services, as it allows individuals to choose which services they want to support and ensures that resources are allocated more efficiently. The book also discusses the history of voluntaryism and its role in society, as well as the potential benefits and drawbacks of implementing a voluntary system. Overall, The Voluntary System is a thought-provoking exploration of an alternative approach to government services and a valuable contribution to the ongoing debate about the role of government in society. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
