Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Popish Legends Or Bible Truths is a book written by Catherine Sinclair and published in 1852. The book is a collection of stories that aim to debunk the myths and legends propagated by the Roman Catholic Church, and to present the true teachings of the Bible. The stories are written in a simple and accessible style, and are intended for children and young adults. The book covers a wide range of topics, including the worship of saints, the use of images in religious worship, the doctrine of purgatory, and the role of the Pope in the Church. Each story is accompanied by a section of Bible verses that support the author's arguments. The book was written during a time of heightened religious tensions in Britain, and reflects the author's Protestant beliefs. It was well-received by the Protestant community, but was criticized by some Catholics for its anti-Catholic bias. Despite this, Popish Legends Or Bible Truths remains an important historical document that sheds light on the religious debates of the mid-19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
