Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Sequences From The Sarum Missal (1871) is a book written by Charles Buchanan Pearson. The book contains a collection of sequences, which are hymns that were traditionally sung during the liturgical year in the Sarum Rite, a medieval Latin liturgical rite used in England before the English Reformation. The sequences in this book are taken from the Sarum Missal, a liturgical book that contains the texts and rubrics for the celebration of Mass according to the Sarum Rite. The book includes an introduction by Pearson, which provides historical context and explains the significance of the sequences. The sequences themselves are presented in Latin with an English translation, and are accompanied by musical notation. This book is a valuable resource for scholars and musicians interested in the history and practice of medieval liturgy in England. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
