The Doctrine of Development in the Bible and in the Church is a book written by Edwin Clennell L. Blenkinsopp in 1869. The book explores the concept of development in both the Bible and the Church, examining how the teachings and practices of Christianity have evolved over time. Blenkinsopp argues that development is a natural and necessary process for any living tradition, and that it has played a vital role in the growth and evolution of Christianity. He draws on a wide range of sources, including biblical texts, historical documents, and theological treatises, to support his argument. The book is a thoughtful and insightful exploration of an important topic in Christian theology, and remains relevant to contemporary discussions about the nature of religious tradition and the role of development in shaping it.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
