Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Innocents: A Poem, In Three Books (1880) is a literary work by Samuel Wray. The book is a long-form poem that is divided into three separate books. The overarching theme of the poem is innocence, and how it can be lost or corrupted over time. The first book of the poem explores the idea of childhood innocence and how it is often lost as people grow older and experience the harsh realities of the world. The second book delves into the concept of innocence in relationships, examining how trust can be betrayed and love can turn to bitterness. The third and final book of the poem looks at the innocence of nature and how it can be destroyed by human greed and exploitation.Throughout the book, Wray uses vivid imagery and poetic language to explore these themes and convey the emotional impact of losing one's innocence. The poem is written in a traditional style, with rhyme and meter, and is intended to be read aloud or performed.Overall, The Innocents: A Poem, In Three Books is a thought-provoking work of literature that explores the fragility of innocence and the ways in which it can be lost or destroyed. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
