Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Mistake of Christendom: Or Jesus and His Gospel Before Paul and Christianity is a book written by George Stearns in 1857. The book explores the origins of Christianity and argues that the teachings of Jesus have been distorted by the influence of the Apostle Paul and the early Christian Church. Stearns contends that the true message of Jesus was one of love, compassion, and social justice, and that this message has been overshadowed by the focus on dogma and theology that came to dominate Christianity. He argues that the early Christian Church was more concerned with consolidating power and establishing a hierarchy than with following the teachings of Jesus. The book provides a historical analysis of the development of Christianity and offers a critique of the Church's role in shaping the religion. The Mistake of Christendom is a thought-provoking work that challenges readers to reconsider their understanding of Christianity and the teachings of Jesus. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
