Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Spirit Disembodied: When We Die We Do Not Fall Asleep, We Only Change Our Place is a book written by Herbert Broughton and published in 1867. The book explores the idea that when we die, our spirits do not simply fall asleep or cease to exist, but rather we change our place and continue to exist in a different form. Broughton argues that the spirit or soul is separate from the physical body and is eternal, and that death is simply a transition from one state of being to another. The book draws upon various religious and philosophical traditions to support its arguments, including Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Broughton also addresses common questions and concerns about death and the afterlife, such as the nature of heaven and hell, the concept of reincarnation, and the possibility of communicating with the dead. Overall, The Spirit Disembodied provides a thought-provoking exploration of the nature of death and the afterlife, and offers comfort and hope to those who have lost loved ones. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
