Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Six Weeks At The War is a memoir written by Millicent Sutherland, a British nurse who served during World War I. The book chronicles her experiences during her six-week deployment to France in 1915, where she was stationed at a field hospital near the front lines. Sutherland vividly describes the conditions she encountered, including the constant danger of enemy fire, the overwhelming number of wounded soldiers, and the lack of basic supplies and equipment. She also shares stories of the soldiers she cared for, their bravery and resilience in the face of unimaginable trauma. Through her firsthand account, Sutherland provides a unique perspective on the realities of war and the vital role played by nurses in caring for the wounded. Six Weeks At The War is a powerful and moving testament to the courage and sacrifice of those who served during World War I.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
