Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Restoration of the Gild System is a book written by Arthur Joseph Penty in 1906. The book explores the history of the gild system, which was a medieval system of trade and craft guilds that regulated the production and sale of goods. Penty argues that the gild system was a more just and equitable economic model than the capitalist system that had replaced it. He suggests that the gild system allowed for greater participation and ownership by workers, and that it promoted a sense of community and social responsibility. Penty also critiques the industrialization of society and the rise of mass production, which he believes has led to a loss of quality and craftsmanship. The book is a call to action for the restoration of the gild system and a return to a more sustainable and equitable economic model. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
