Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Fictions Connected With The Indian Outbreak Of 1857 Exposed is a book written by Edward Leckey and published in 1859. The book is a critical analysis of the events that occurred during the Indian Rebellion of 1857, also known as the Indian Mutiny. Leckey aims to debunk the myths and fictions that were circulated by the British press and government about the rebellion. He argues that the rebellion was not a spontaneous uprising of the Indian people against British rule, but rather a complex series of events that were fueled by a variety of factors, including economic, social, and political grievances. Leckey also criticizes the British response to the rebellion, which he argues was characterized by excessive violence and repression. The book is a valuable historical document that sheds light on the complex and often contentious relationship between India and Britain during the 19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
