""The Tablature of Cebes the Theban"" is a philosophical treatise written by Kebes in 1750. It is a detailed allegorical picture of human life, using the story of Cebes, a disciple of Socrates, to illustrate the various stages of human existence. The book is divided into seven sections, each representing a different stage of life, from childhood to old age. It explores the nature of human existence, the role of philosophy in our lives, and the importance of living a virtuous life. The book is written in a highly poetic and metaphorical style, with each section illustrated by intricate and beautiful engravings.
