Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Nella, Or Not My Own: A Story For Girls is a novel written by Jessie Goldsmith Cooper and originally published in 1888. The book follows the story of Nella, a young girl who is orphaned at a young age and taken in by her wealthy aunt and uncle. However, Nella's new guardians are not kind to her and treat her more like a servant than a member of the family. As Nella grows up, she becomes increasingly aware of her situation and begins to question her place in the world. She longs to find her true identity and to be recognized for who she really is, rather than being treated as a second-class citizen in her own home.Throughout the book, Nella faces many challenges and struggles to overcome the obstacles in her path. She must learn to stand up for herself and to fight for her own rights, even when it seems like the odds are against her.In the end, Nella discovers the truth about her past and learns to embrace her own identity. The book is a powerful story of self-discovery and empowerment, and is a must-read for anyone who has ever felt like they don't belong. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
