In each section, the author provides a brief introduction, followed by a series of sayings related to the theme. The sayings are then explained and interpreted in the author's own words, with examples and anecdotes to illustrate their meaning. The book is written in a clear and accessible style, making it suitable for both scholars and general readers interested in the history and culture of old English sayings. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
