Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Self-Sacrifice: Or The Pioneers Of Fuegia is a book written by Sarah Ann Myers in 1861. The book is a historical account of the lives of a group of Christian missionaries who traveled to Fuegia, an archipelago located in the southernmost tip of South America, in the mid-19th century. The missionaries, who were mostly British, faced numerous challenges in their efforts to spread Christianity and civilize the indigenous people of Fuegia, who were known for their fierce and primitive way of life. Despite facing hostility, disease, and extreme weather conditions, the missionaries persevered in their mission, and their self-sacrifice and dedication to their cause are celebrated in this book. The book provides a fascinating insight into the lives of these early Christian missionaries, their struggles and triumphs, and their impact on the indigenous people of Fuegia. It is a compelling read for anyone interested in the history of Christian missionary work and the early exploration of South America. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
