Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Diary of John Rowe, Boston Merchant: 1764-1779 is a historical account of the life and times of John Rowe, a prominent merchant in Boston during the years leading up to the American Revolution. Written by Rowe himself, the diary provides a fascinating glimpse into the daily life of a wealthy merchant in colonial America, as well as the political and social upheaval that characterized the period. The entries cover a wide range of topics, from business dealings and personal relationships to political events and the growing tension between the American colonies and Great Britain. Through Rowe's eyes, readers gain a unique perspective on the events that led up to the American Revolution and the role that merchants like him played in shaping the course of history. The book, first published in 1895, remains an important primary source for historians studying the American Revolution and colonial America. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
