Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Dissenting Gentleman's Answer to Mr. White's Three Letters is a book written by Micaiah Towgood in 1752. The book is a response to three letters written by Mr. White, in which he criticized the Dissenting Gentleman's views on religious freedom and dissenting politics. Towgood, a prominent Dissenter and political writer, defends his views on the importance of religious freedom and the need for Dissenters to be politically active. He argues that Dissenters have a right to participate in government and that their political engagement is essential for the preservation of liberty and the protection of religious minorities. The book is a significant contribution to the debate on religious freedom and Dissent in eighteenth-century Britain and remains relevant today as a defense of the principles of religious tolerance and political participation. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
