Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Trial of the Pope: The Antichrist or Man of Sin, for High Treason Against the Son of God is a book written by Herman Norton in 1856. The book is a fictional account of a trial where the Pope is accused of committing high treason against Jesus Christ. The trial is set in the 19th century and is presided over by a judge and a jury. The prosecution argues that the Pope, who is referred to as the Antichrist or Man of Sin, has committed blasphemy by claiming to be the head of the Church and the representative of Christ on Earth. The defense argues that the Pope is simply fulfilling his duties as the leader of the Catholic Church. The book explores themes of religion, power, and corruption within the Church. It is written in a dramatic style and is intended to be a thought-provoking work of fiction. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
