Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A Fortnight At The Front is a memoir written by Henry Russell Wakefield, a British soldier who served in World War I. The book is a first-hand account of Wakefield's experiences during his two-week stint at the front lines of the war in 1915. The author describes the horrors of trench warfare, including the constant threat of enemy fire, the unsanitary conditions, and the physical and emotional toll that the war takes on soldiers. Wakefield also reflects on the camaraderie and bravery of his fellow soldiers, as well as the moments of humor and humanity that helped them cope with the harsh realities of war. The book provides a vivid and personal perspective on one of the most devastating conflicts in human history, and serves as a testament to the courage and sacrifice of those who fought in it.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
